SIDA SOL Training of volunteers in combined prevention

Strengthen the competencies of the peer volunteers to guide PrEPers, raise awareness, inform the different audiences listed hereunder to the different prevention and risk reduction means.

Reduce repercussion (new contaminations) of HIV and STI by increasing knowledge of prevention and risk reduction means to the audiences (internal/external condoms, PEP, CVI, PrEP, HIV and STI screening tests) by orienting towards screening and treatment, and more specifically towards an initiation to PrEP followed by a community support (increase of adhesion to the treatment and psycho-sexo-affective well-being of the PrEPer).

The training of the peer volunteers, so important in this field of action, and the need follow-up of those, are not taken care of by any granting authorities. The training modules require equipment (printing of files and documents), human resources (2 trainers + defrayal of infectious diseases specialists).
